ABOUT

After graduating from the University of Arizona with a finance degree, I started my career as a Wall Street Broker where I learned the value of proactively listening for details and witnessed the rewards of taking a long term investment approach. More recently, I’ve spent the last decade and a half as an executive recruiter with a national firm based in Phoenix. The keys to my sustained success lies in a combination of passion (for life, helping others and learning), steadfast integrity, continuous drive to gain new knowledge & experience, humility and complex problem-solving while always putting my client's and candidate's interests ahead of my own. My goal from the beginning has always been to serve the Arizona market as the best respected and trusted Accounting, Finance, and Operations recruiter.

Originally from a small town in Ohio, I was raised on strong Midwest values and taught to above all, be honest, patient, firm but fair, centered, and view money as a tool or byproduct of the right behaviors, not the bane for all activities. The best way to achieve my goal is to build transparent, trustworthy, and mutually beneficial relationships through the hard work of extensive market research that identifies the most respected companies, candidates, and hiring managers based on reputation, referrals, and in-person meetings.

My greatest communication skill is being a proactive listener and really understanding the underlying intent of someone’s message ... just ask my wife! Everyone has different strengths, experiences, and talents and my gift is to recognize and align them with a client's strategic need or to identify when the right future opportunity arises for my confidential candidates (based on their desired: role, culture, challenge, compensation, commute, etc.).

Both as an Executive Recruiter & Wall Street Broker, I’ve always prized relationships as the real asset and have applied a disciplined, selective, and patient approach to yield the most productive results. I started my own practice because the larger recruiting agencies embody a call center mentality, focused on volume, short term revenue goals, and view both their staff, clients, and candidates as a commodity. Conversely, I view relationships as a valued investment that over time and careful cultivation will produce the most meaningful returns ...and I’ve bet “my farm" on this conviction.

After 15 years in the recruiting industry, I've gained invaluable experience yet I'm still excited by what new trend, business, or person I'll meet or learn about each day. I’m honored to be trusted by my clients to identify key players for their highly impactful or hard to fill technical roles. I also take great pride in having successfully signed an elite list of F500, private equity & privately held firms and being empowered to negotiate complex executive compensation packages on behalf of the talented professionals I represent.
